> KIDD-A: We begin this transmission with humble beginnings KIDD-A was born in Gary,IN and raised by his single mother whom was a lover of 60 and 70's Soul music. As a child KIDD was surrounded by different genres of music soul, r&b, rock, gospel, heavy metal, pop, but he was not allowed to listen to hip hop. Whenever there were family functions such as parties or holidays KIDD and his cousins would dance and sing to entertain the adults but when hip hop was played on the radio the children were sent to a room where the adults thought they could not hear the music but KIDD was always listening. It wasn't until KIDD and his mom moved to Decatur,GA where KIDD heard RUN DMC for the first time and he was hooked into the culture. After two years KIDD and his mom moved back to Gary,IN and KIDD was now listening to more hip hop and he started breakdancing with his cousin but that didn't last long KIDD wrote his first rhyme when he was in the fourth grade and he hasn't stopped writing since. KIDD was influenced by the message hip hop provided he grew up in the times of good music: Tribe Called Quest Boogie Down Productions Rakim Slick Rick LL Cool J Big Daddy Kane N.W.A. Snoop Wu-Tang J. Dilla and so on. His mission is to carry the torch of those whom influenced him.
> Ryan "Rekken" Farag: Ryan Rekken was born into music Ryan's father Henry Farag was a great Doo-Wop singer with the group Pee Jay & The Gents during the 1950s. Ryan took a different route with his musical talents he started playing the drums in 1998 and he started making beats in 2004 after being heavily influenced by Tribe Called Quest. Once Ryan heard J. Dilla's J-88 it was pretty much a done deal he knew what he wanted to do with music. After making a gaggle of beats through the years on his MPC Ryan did not have an emcee to rhyme over his works of art.

> The Dumm Lazee Lounge: Kidd-A was working on a mixtape that never came to light he wanted more he wanted to record a full length album over original beats. Kidd was referred to Ryan by a mutual friend of theirs the mutual friend told Kidd about Ryan's beats and that he could listen to a few on his Myspace page. Kidd visited the page and was intrigued he instantly sent Ryan a message stating that he wanted to work with him on a project called Free Lunch. Ryan replied that he was with the idea and sent Kidd a few tracks via email. The two paired up in September of '08 to start recording in Ryan's basement. The first they recorded was a song titled The Break Up Song Ryan described the beat as having a dumb lazy feel which coined the name of their group The Dumm Lazee Lounge. The newly formed Dumm Lazee Loungers worked diligently for 10 months trying to find the right beats for the right songs at the same time the duo were getting to know one another through music. The album Free Lunch was completed in August of '09 the only left to do was mix, master, and manufacter. Ryan Rekken mixed the entire album himself Kidd and Ryan funded the project by themselves with no help from labels or financial backing. This is their first installment for the many to come so take a large dose of this funk The Dumm Lazee Lounge Presents...Free Lunch!
