Luis Antonio Perez - is the host of the Vocalo Overdrive weekdays from 4pm-6pm. He was born and raised on Chicago's Northside. Two weeks before joining Vocalo Luis given an opportunity to take an extended leave from his day job as an office manager prompted by "spending too much time working on other things" e.g. a little project called Rhyme Spitters. Today, Luis is a full fledged radio nerd. He spends most of his time reading reports on radio listening patterns, analyzing audio story structures, looking for good podcasts to listen to, and gushing over where his desk is relative to the other Chicago Public Media staff. If you ever want to wind Luis up ask him about what sneakers he's getting next or give him a super ball.
