For almost the past two years I've been active in the competitive fighting game community. It's something that I've really grown close to, but still have trouble explaining to most people. I decided to make this little piece to do just that. I wanted to show people that there is more here than just a bunch of nerds playing a game. There is a thriving community with a lot of energy and dedication.

Working with local documentary powerhouse, Kartemquin films, Usama is completing a movie on what it means to be Arab-American in the United States - succinctly titled: American Arab.
