The Rundown
We look at the need for a trauma Center in Northwest Indiana. At the moment, the closest centers are in Chicago. We ride with the University of Chicago Medivac crew as they retrieve a man hit by a car in Hobart, Indiana.
We talk to Dr. Mike McGee, head of Emergency Medicine at Methodist Hospital Northlake in Gary. He wants to turn the Gary hospital into a level one trauma center.
State Rep. Charlie Brown, D-Gary, talks about the long term hurdle getting a center in his part of Indiana.
But that's just one part of our show.
Smell, that?
That's fresh corn tamales steaming. We're debuting excerpts from the new Vocalo.org pod cast "Making it: People who live for their food."
We're following the partners of Tamale Cabana as they try to make in the restaurant business with their new startup in downtown Valparaiso, Indiana.
We're also playing your stuff, including Cooper St. James remixing Reservoir Dogs and Greg telling us why Indiana needs a new train.
Bibiana learns that Chicago may be the next Paris and that isn't necessarily a good thing for the people who live here.
And a bunch of other stuff.
