The Rundown

The Port Drive-In, a Chesterton, Indiana, institution and purveyors of some of the best darn root beer ever (they make it in the basement), is celebrating its 50th anniversary this weekend. We hear about what they've got planned ... and drink their, uh, swamp water. We did it for radio. And we got some kids to do it too.

Robin checks in with Syd, who has been posting great photos to Vocalo from his urban explorations, about his field trips to the Palace Theater and other abandoned buildings in Gary, IN.

And Redmoon Theater artists team up with students from Chicago's Audubon Elementary School to ask, "What kind of seed grows a garden of shoes?"
