The Rundown

Call 888-635-1112 to chat with us on air! Dial in, and press 3 to be connected to the studio.

We begin by talking about food. What would be the hardest food for you to give up? We discuss raw foods, salt vs. sugar, and the lack of food in Humboldt Park.

It's Wiki Wednesday! We talk to Ted Earnst about Wikis, and the Wiki Wednesday event happening today at Cosi at 1116 S. Michigan. For more on Wikis, check out The Wiki Index.

We talk to an organizer from the Chicago Film Race, a 24-hour marathon where filmmakers get together  and make a 4 minute short film. The films are being screened tonight,  Click here for more information. Check out some of these films from other cities at Filmraceing.com.

Also, Tomato-Talk with Damien Casten from Candid Wines and Tomato Fest! We learn what a Lychee-Tomato is (hint, it's not a lychee). If you love tomatoes (we do) and want to attend the 2008 Tomato Fest, it's at the Chicago Honey Co-op, at 3740 West Filmore on August 14th. We also chat with him about the slow food movement.

Our weekly segment with the Windy Citizen is with Brad Flora, editor. We talk about the vanishing village of Bensenville. Bensenville is a village situated right near O'Hare Airport, and the city has been buying up property in and around the area.

Plus the midweek midday countdown! We take another stab at DjDownloads.com's Drum and Base chart.

Hi guys, Thanks for having me in today. Here is a bit more info on Litchi Tomatoes. http://rareseeds.com/seeds/Garden-Berries/Litchi-Tomato-or-Morelle-De-Balbis This is the company I bought the seeds from, and as you can see the green fruit is a long way from being ripe. With some warm weather they will be there soon. Darlene - tell your mom to bring more of those tomatoes out to Tomato Fest tomorrow night. Cheers, Damien
