3pm - Violence and School Closings
All over Chicago schools are closing, teachers are losing their jobs, and classrooms from multiple schools are being consolidated into one school. Using his cell phone, Vocalero Katalyst called in to the Vocalo.org Hotline sharing the opinions of his teacher and highschool peers and about the issue.
4pm - Windy City Times Andrew Davis Editor of the Windy City Times, serving the LGBT community, talks with us about the passing of Mildred Loving, who won a Supreme Court case involving her interrracial marriage of a white man in 1960's. Before her death Loving expressed, "I believe all Americans, no matter their race, no matter their sex, no matter their sexual orientation, should have that same freedom to marry. Government has no business imposing some people's religious beliefs over others.”
