The Rundown

Today, the team of Darlene Jackson and Steve Walsh bring hours of Vocalo.org fun.

So what’s in a store? Shoppers recently rallied to keep Carson’s in Hammond, Indiana. A store is set to be the cornerstone of rebuilding the city’s Woodmar Mall, but the fear is that changing demographics and new suburban malls will lure the retailer elsewhere. Hammond Mayor Thomas McDermott will talk about the effort to save Carson’s.

The price of milk, eggs, meat and bread are starting to take a bigger bite out food budgets everywhere. Corrine Alexander, agricultural economist with Purdue University, will talk about why food prices are on the rise and whether it will get better or worse. Hint: it’s not better.

Sean Davis, gaming and entertainment columnist with the student-run Purdue Chronicle, will talk about the impending release to Grand Theft Auto 4, whether anything can stop the Wii, and other gaming news.

And of course, anything you can think up...phone it in. We're on live until 10pm--312-893-2993.

xoxo
