this will be on air today!

listen in today between 3 & 4pm today (on our stream or our frequency) for this piece (it airs again between 6 & 7pm).

Thank you so much... I can't wait to hear more!!

excellent

Great piece. This means a lot to me since my Mom is Sunni and My Dad is Shia-- I had never even thought about the difference until I was older. I think what is happening in Iraq over this is pretty sad. They are all Muslims.

Thanks again for posting this.

Thoughtful Romeo & Juliette-esque

I liked the way you combined your personal observations and your friends stories with the voices of more traditional experts. It's really powerful to hear how this big international conflict affects the lives of these two people. It's kind of a Romeo and Juliette type story! I found myself really rooting for them throughout the piece. The conclusion of the piece is especially intense, with Mona whispering like that! Your written conclusion is thoughtful, but you probably don't need to pull quite as big a wide angle lense as you do. Nice work overall.

FARHEEN! I didn't find you

FARHEEN! I didn't find you at first. I miss your face in my class. I work here at Vocalo.org now. I'm so happy to hear your piece played around here. Write me a message with how you are.
