Iraqi Refugee (living in Jordan) - by Noah Chandler

I'm currently traveling with my fiance, her parents, and her eldest sister's 12-year old daughter. My future in-laws are originally from Iraq but have been living in the U.S. for about 40 years or so. We are currently in Amman, Jordan visiting with some of their family which stayed in Iraq but were forced out as a result of the U.S. invasion. Living here are my fiance's Uncle, Aunt, their daughter and her husband and their two teenage kids. They were a strongly middle class family in Iraq but now are struggling to find even one job for any of them. What I am uploading here is a small audio clip of Lamia (my fiance's 78 y/o aunt) describing what she liked to do as a retiree living in Baghdad and what she does now in Jordan. It's heart breaking...please don't redistribute or use this audio without permission...thanks.
