I'm a freelance writer. I write scripts, stories, and plays. I'm at work on a novel. Sometimes I do a little voiceover. I'm an avid SecondLife player, where I am a staff writer and section editor for The AvaStar (http://www.The-AvaStar.com). In real life I was a trial lawyer for 25 years doing drug and device cases, which gives me a lot of knowledge about complicated stuff that is of little relevance to anyone now. I was a West author. I've met a lot of musicians, e.g., Bruce Springsteen, and politicians, e.g., Hillary Clinton. I make my own cheese. Listening to Coleman Barks reciting the poetry of Rumi makes me swoon. Swoon was not the word I thought of first. My favorite novelists, after Nabokov of course, are Orhan Pamuk, John Banville and Javier Marias, but Manil Suri is sneaking up there. A CD I keep going back to, play to death, put away, and then play to death again a few months later, is Oi Va Voi's "Laughter Through Tears." I'm also extremely fond of Sylvie Lewis.
