At Vocalo there are many ways to get involved. Whether you want to learn how to record, do audio production or get the word out - there are easy and flexible ways to be a part of the station.

The Daily Thread - Every day we collect stories on a topic in the news, and we'd love for you to contribute.  In five minutes a day, you can be a correspondent on our Daily Thread.  All you need is a Vocalo profile and a cellphone.  Get more info, and sign up.

Open Studio - Learn how to make radio and get your stuff on-air at our studios on Navy Pier. We host Open Studio three times a week. Whether you are just starting or want to hone your skills - Open Studio offers hands-on training in audio/radio production. Get more information about the program, times and sign up process. 

West Side Open Studio- On the first and third Saturdays of the month from 2-5p, drop in to the Chicago Public Radio Bureau at 2531 W. Division St. Stop by and meet radio folks who highlight life on the West Side.  Share stories.  Get your voice on the radio. West Side Open Studio is free, open to the public, and it's drop-in, so no sign-up is required.

For the Winter/Spring of 2010, West Side Open Studio days are 2/6, 2/20, 3/6, 3/20, 4/3, 4/17, 5/1, 5/15, 6/5 and 6/19.

Internships - Vocalo offers three distinct internships. With Outreach you'll learn how to connect and collaborate with communities and organizations, with Broadcast you'll focus on preparing a tight broadcast with editing and production skills and the Production internship will develop your storytelling and editing skills with a creative and unique sound.  Get more info on dates and descriptions.

Street Team - we are currently building street teams that will get the word out about special events and projects at Vocalo. You'll represent the station and have access to unique opportunities if you join our team. A full description featured here.

Host a Training or Conversation at your location - Vocalo is always looking for opportunities to teach people how easy it is to participate and help document great conversations that are already happening. If you would like to host a training at your location, learn about trainings we already have scheduled in your area or help get new conversations started about topics important to you please e-mail info@vocalo.org with "Host a training" or "Host a conversation" in the subject line.

The Chicago Lake Shore Chapter (CLSC) of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP®) is proud to announce we are hosting the 22nd Annual Administrative Professionals Day® Luncheon. On Wednesday, April 21, 2010 we are pleased to welcome over 100 Administrative Professionals and Executives from Chicago and nearby suburbs to be present at the University Club of Chicago, 76 East Monroe Street, Chicago, IL 60603.
