Dr. Aisha Mays Updates Morning AMp on the state of Haiti

In August, Super Doctor Aisha Mays saved up her vacation days and traveled to Haiti to provide medical relief services. 8 months after the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti, Dr. Mays talks with Brian Babylon and Molly about all the work that still needs to be done.

It's not the traditional vacation, but Dr. Mays also reminds us that Haiti is a beautiful country--an idea you might not see in the headlines.

Dr. Coya Paz and Brian Babylon go head to head over the phrase, "That's gay."  While Brian argues that using this slang references Chicago-based serial killer John Wayne Gacy, Coya's not buying it. She argues that in a world where gay people are always put down, it's pretty hard to see it as a standalone phrase.

A self-confessed shopaholic and lip gloss addict, Chicago writer/performer Coya Paz has more than enough understanding for those who have trouble boycotting companies that sell Cute Things yet do Bad Things. Nevertheless, she’s exercising superhuman restraint against Mac and Target.
