Fereshteh Toosi is an interdisciplinary artist whose work has been shown at Groupe Intervention Vidéo in Montréal, Transformer Gallery in Washington DC, Urban Institute for Contemporary Art in Grand Rapids, Space 1026 in Philadelphia and the Boston Center for the Arts. She uses cultural icons to explore current events and popular mythologies through projects in digital media, performance, and public intervention. She is currently serving on the international advisory board for London's Elastic Residence gallery and has recently taught digital media in Maryland and Pennsylvania. Fereshteh is currently a faculty fellow in arts and civic engagement at Syracuse University.
