The late artist, Michael Piazza, handed a bunch of cassette recorders to inmates of the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center. They recorded a day in the life, taking showers, banging on the window to get passer-bys to look up, laying down beats with a pencil, a table top and an elbow.
