I am a non-custodial father living in Schererville Indiana who loves his child and lobbies for reforms and innovations in Indiana Family Laws. I am also a Chicago Bears fan and I have an MBA from Purdue University Calumet. You may also wish to listen to this audio mp3 presentation describing the new high-energy, cost-effective Innovation Accelerator concept. http://www.frips.com/ia.mp3
Tech Parks, R&D Labs, Entrepreneural Centers and Business Incubators are nice. However, I believe there is a gap to be filled between academia and an entrepreneural centers. My idea for an Innovation Accelerator relies on the high energy and high frequency brainstorming interactions of human beings. This borrows that idea from the Particle Accelerators of Physics. 24/7/365 days per year... focusing and adding energy to the target!I am happy to report that Bill Baitinger, the Special Assistant to the Vice President for Research at Purdue University found my idea for an innovationaccelerator useful in this way: "Your method would be a low cost way to involve the public in local economic development activities." Indiana currently has about 18 Certified Technology Parks with varied standards for interlab collaboration/innovation. Guess how many do collaborative andguided solution brainstorming at this level? 0. http://www.insideindianabusiness.com/incubate-indiana.aspAlthough these powerpoint slides ( http://www.frips.com/ia.ppt ) have a Star Trek and Information Technology "out of this world-like appearance," the general model is meant to be multi-disciplinary and multi-industry useful. If IU and Purdue University chooses to enhance the Labitan Innovation Accelerator model across all of Purdue's regional campuses and link them together in collaboration/competition scenarios, then Indiana will be in a better position for global economic competition. The model may also be shared with other Midwest universities and their regional campuses. Feel free to take these ideas, share them, and mold them into something better. Then share your views with the leadership of Purdue University. Your views will help them see the big picture better. Help break down political barriers and innovate!
