Recently voted Funniest Comedian in Chicago 2008 by Readers Digest, Julianna Forlano has performed in venues across the US including nightclubs, theaters, comedy clubs, & festivals as well as corporate and private functions. In Chicago alone she has performed at the Improv, Comedy Zone, Zanies, Comedy Comedy and more. Julianna’s quirky humor can be found on the racks in the greeting card aisle, as she is a contributing writer for American Greetings’ humor lines. Her more political and topical humor can be heard on Chicago Public Radio’s Vocalo Project on The Ironic News Report of this she is the host and head writer. It can also be seen on the show Big News, a live, weekly, satire in the tradition of Saturday Night Live and The Daily Show, performed at IO Chicago. Smart, off-beat and versatile, she is also a talented improv comic, having spent 2 years performing in the New York- based Charred Goosebeak improv group and 2 more years as an ensemble member of Denver’s Comedy Jocks. She is now affiliated with Chicago’s Second City Conservatory. While living in Portland, Oregon, she was the warm welcoming and hilarious host of Harvey’s Comedy Club’s New Talent Showcase. Julianna hosted a weekly news and entertainment show on Oregon Public Broadcasting’s Golden Hours Radio Network. She made her first film debut in “Feast of Love” starring Morgan Freeman and Greg Kinnear and now lives in Chicago, IL.
