Prince Primary Photo... Singers

Prince Primary is a small school located in the Lyantonde district of rural southwest Uganda. Many of the students it serves have been orphaned by HIV/AIDS, or other  illness prone to the area. The children sing, sing and then sing some more. This is a recording of the children singing welcome praises to visits from Chicago.

This is really lovely. I'm enjoying these recordings from Africa, and plan to broadcast this one as well.

do they know English or did they just learn the lyrics? I grew up in Colombia, and although we didn't speak English, we'd find a way to sing along to the English songs.

they are taught english in school. most of the younger kids don't have much of a grasp on it but they know 50 cent and jay-z songs.
