Applied Arts Science and Technology Academy
AASTA is a small, personalized high school located on Chicago's West Side. Students experience a college preparatory curriculum which develops critical thinking skills and college readiness. In their sophomore year, each student enrolls in a career technical program in Radio and Television, Culinary Arts, or Graphic Communications. Classroom projects integrate technology with math, science, social science, English, foreign language, and fine arts. The Applied Arts, Science, and Technology Academy offers four Advanced Placement courses including AP US History, AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature and Composition, and AP Statistics. In addition, the school offers honors courses. AASTA meets the needs of diverse learners and provides comprehensive student development opportunities that include clubs, service learning activities, and emotional support programs.
