I was in Gary, Indiana the day of the Indiana Primary. I hung out at the Headquarters for the Obama campaign, the SEIU for Obama headquarters, Polling Places, an Obama Canvassing truck, and the streets of Gary. Obama had an indesputable foothold in Gary, and the support seemed to be ebbing. It had become bigger than politics. The dozens of folks in the street who pumped their fists in the air as the Obama truck coasted past blaring "OBAMA '08" were saying: enough. Sons and daughters with steel in their blood were saying they were tired of not being included in the American Dream.
