Yes. Oh wait. I can't just say yes, you're asking an either/or question. Since I wouldn't think of falling in love as a kind of failing, even though spring does turn us into fools for love, vulnerable in the best kind of way... I'd have to say it's a little of both. An unexpected smile disarms you, trips you, and you are not sorry in any way for the sickening swoop in your stomach. We're stupid and soft in the spring, but who would leave their heart in the cold certain rationality of January?
"Fall" as in the idea of falling in love, or as in when we love we're foolish, vulnerable, and eventually fall/fail?
