And yes, there was a protest about the Iraq war on the 5th anniversary, but it wasn't huge. But among letter-to-the-editor writers, the pro-war folks have gotten a little tired, while the anti-war writers are still going strong.
The father of Dave's grandkids (his ex son-in-law) is in Iraq. Their mom protects the kids from the news, and Dave doesn't bring it up much. What do you tell your grandkids when their dad ships off to war?
And there are folks in Michigan City who think Pastor Jeremiah Wright has a point. He's not the only one who thought that part of what happened on 9/11 was "chickens coming home to roost."
... but Dave does think that this controversy will hurt Obama's chances in Indiana.
