After listening to Darlene on vacation talking about the downside of mass media....the talk presents to us a question or two...
Since most popular music labels are owned by 5 root companies, and television is basically 4 companies (many overlapping with music conglomerates), do you feel like major media does not allow for regular (or even positive) people to be heard?

YES! I think in that conversation, the person who directed that question to me, I think, assumed I would support the rappers. I think he was surprised when I said they were a bunch of clowns and placed the blame at the feet of the labels. As a label head myself, nothing I don't like gets put on my records, so it's up to me...I'm the final word. So I do think your rights are eroded not only by the media but by the people running these companies. Shame on them all.
