We the people. OK when we are in a recession or depression, I believe two things must happen in order to have a recession proof or depression proof country. We actually need to spend more money in order to spin the big wheel of economy. Most importantly along with this spending needs to be a sniper mind set. One must pin down the spending targets with precise choices. Along with this we the people have our own choices to collectively BOYCOTT certain specific parasite economy erroding corporations
Steps to Recession Proofing
- Reduce the amount of pharmacueticals, these corporations are the lions share of our economical spending being hogged up and they are even worse than the Oil Corporations. Try using preventive health items and some folk lore remedies actually work. there have been studies done on the use of Garlic cloves reducing cholesterol in some people with great effectivness. Since I have been using apple cider vinegar I have not had a cold in over 2 yrs except for maybe a few days worth of light running and congestion.
- Quit buying new cars, from the big 3 corporations. the average $1000 car even with high mileage usually lasts a person atleast 1 year and the amount of money you save every month of not forking out a car payment plus the insurance that is mandatory can easily buy a new transmission or engine in just a few months of these payments. Save accordingly on this idea. The money you give to these outrageous mark ups on new vehicles and insurance are not helping the economy as much as it would if you were able to spend this same amount of money in more diversity of spending that money at multiple bussinesses locations. The job argument is futile because these jobs will mobilize to other industries. And please, don't tell me you are buying a car to save money on gas because a new car gets better gas mileage, jees, I had a 1987 honda that got 35 MPG and the latest greatest economy car for the masses only gets 40 MPG. These companies have us right where they want us. There is absolutely no good reason for us not to be at 80MPG by this amount of time span in technology. It's been way over time for hydrogen transportation and even magnetic highway system rails. I remember my geography teacher and my science teacher standing up in front of the class back in the late 70's saying how when the time comes that we have turned 30 or so we should all be driving hover crafts by then. Hey where is my Hover Craft sniff sniff,
- become more product aware and stop buying a product just because it is a buck or two cheaper at Wally's World. Inspect the true differences of the product you are purchacing and you might find out that the product that was cheaper was exactly that, cheaper!example I once talked to a store owner of a candle shop and she was a nice lady who was going to have to shut down her business because her price break was just not able to compete with Wally, even though her product was $4.00 more than Wally's it also would last about 4 times as long and was actually healthy to breath. I asked her why doesn't she just market it better and let people know this. She said she had tried to do just that but people just didn't get it. The almighty pocket book effect had more lesson strength than her marketing message did.
- Make your own snack food products remember how to make rock candy? it's fun for the kids. and keep more money for real food and home remedial medicines and cleaning products. You could use Baking soda and hydrogen peroxide for cleaning teeth and hydrogen peroxide and vinegar in two seperate spray bottles actually clean better than bleach does.
- Never refinance a house where a company is willing to put you over 100% of the value preferably never go past 75% refinancing on your house.
- Use cash not credit cards. Heck stop using banks even if you can. They like to steal your money too and they certainly don't care about our economy.
- Push for new laws that prohibit mortgage companies in selling houses that exceed a persons true asset to debt ratio's. Maybe then these so called $300,000+ subdivision houses will be at their more acurate and fair selling value . Instead of getting a whole mess of people in to the bankruptcy court system.
I'm sure all of you can think of more ways!!
If we didn't spend so much money on the Oil,Pharmacuetical,Automotive and Insurance Companies, even a 5.00/hour job would start looking pretty good. We could all then have more real spending money to get the Economy wheel spinning once again, not to mention that the government would actually make more money with increased sales tax earnings.
