No Smoking in Chicago

I smoked for over ten years! I quit around 1998 so this smoking ban is no big deal to me. But what about you smokers?! And what about you non-smokers?! I think it would be really nice to go to a bar that is smoke free.

there is something in the tobacco or menthol leaf that relieves the stress
some kind of chemical
its a fact but im too lazy to research it
as for the cigarette breaks it does help
to take a break away from other things
but...the air is not any cleaner with all the carbon monoxide that is floating in the air...
so youre lungs are still not safe...
its funny how the Government is now worried bout the average american's health now
.....maybe they should really care and fix the health care system.
or their relationships with pharamacutical corporations that put high prices on medicines americans need
or their relationship with the Health Insurance industry....and their high priced memberships...

smoking ban is a slap in the face for many smokers who pay so much taxes on cigarettes
if it wasnt for smokers those taxes wouldnt get paid
and the government will be forced to raise other taxes.
this ban is so laughable...
governments got no other laws to pass besides these???

I have a right to go out without breathing other people's stupid bad habits. I don't smoke. I don't want to do it vicariously. It's disgusting. Nothing sexy about it. I'm happy there's a ban but I don't think it's going to be enforced very well because let's face it, Chicagoans are a little slow and stubborn about doing things that are actually good for them. If it is enforced, I'm going out a lot more. Maybe I'll actually have a social life. I've been waiting patiently for this... Smoking in public forces the smokers choices on non-smokers. Rude!
