We just spoke with Olivia Howard from Haymarket Outreach program. Want to know more about their outreach and giving women who are in prostitution options to get out? Give them a call 312-226-7984. She also has a book "Listening to Olivia"
Thanks Olivia!

I also wanted to voice that I am personally offended by the argument that my boundaries are somehow damaged or destroyed, and that is why I allowed to myself to work as an escort. Just because my boundaries are different than someone else's boundaries does not mean I'm damaged goods. It also presupposes that selling sex is the worst possible thing one could do for a living. That's a moral judgement call, and frankly it's condescending.
First, no one in this discussion is talking about their sources! Where is anyone getting the stats that they use to make their points? Personally, I am talking about my own experiences, and those of my friends. It's easy to say that 97% of women in prostitution feel they have no other choice or that they do not want to be in sex work, etc, if 97% of the women you meet say this. It doesn't mean it's true. Just like my perspective really has nothing to do with their experiences, and I can't generalize about all sex workers.
One thing we all agree upon, at least, is that violence against sex workers needs to stop.
