I've been directing film for sometime and a month ago I tried my hand at DPing (Director of Photography) and got really great feedback. So then I picked up an SLR camera and started snapping away, I really like what comes out and just wanted to share. Let me know what you think. This is one of my favorites.

I love the shadows in this. I'd love to see more. I would also love to see clips of the movie shots you did as DP. What are the major differences between how you think of a shot as a photographer vs. movie maker?
I'm glad you liked it. How I think of a shot in photography and film is very similar, I try to make what comes up an extension of what I see-- almost like an out of body experence that happens: I imagine myself getting on my back, side, knees, and elbows to determine which angle is better. I often imagine myself very tall, but usually I don't have a ladder to capture images from that angle. Although, I use film and photography for very different purposes-Most times I use film to tell a fictional story whereas I use photopraphy to tell a real story.
