How do you prepare for Halloween? UPDATE!!!

The final countdown has begun for the scariest holiday of the year, Halloween is only hours away and many have begun to celebrate.

As mentioned in the previous post titled, "How do you prepare for Halloween?" an apartment in the Little Italy area in Chicago was featured for its unique way of celebrating Halloween. Artist Salvador Jimenez with friends Chris Davila, Adriana Gallardo and Jennifer Juarez had begun to create a mural depicting the Hispanic holiday of "Dia de los Muertos" or Day of the dead. This mural has a twist to its depiction of Halloween and was scheduled to be revealed during their Halloween Party occurring tonight on all "Hallows Eve", October 30, 2009.

The mural and apartment was final transformed and its final touches where finished on October 29, 2009. Patty Arroyo joined the team and the mural not only depicts political statements but also honors the souls who have gone before us.

Here are the pictures of the mural titled, "Dia de los Muertos" or "Day of the Dead" and other art pieces created at the apartment.

Halloween or  "All Hallows Eve" as it was originally called is among us. October 31st is only 10 days away and the countdown for the scariest day of the year has begun. Halloween is undoubtedly the only day that one can honor devils, witches, ghosts, and vampires. People prepare for this holiday in their own way and traditions. It is surprising to learn the various ways people have begun to prepare for Halloween 2009.

In an apartment in Little Italy in Chicago, the preparations have gone beyond the carving of Jack O Lanterns, costume making and watching scary movies. Artist Salvador Jimenez, with friends Chris Davila, Adriana Gallardo and Jennifer Juarez are creating a mural depicting the Hispanic holiday of "Dia de los Muertos" or Day of the dead. The Mural, which will include a skull, various tombstones and cobwebs, is expected to be revealed on October 30 at their Halloween Party.
