Journalist,student,God fearing, and focused.
A conversation starter, on the sidewalk, online and on air. I also write short stories and am known to use friends to develop characters. Watch out! I have no pets, but have been keeping a bamboo plant alive for nearly three years now. My actor of a roommate and I just moved to Chicago from Alabama. He is narcoleptic. When he is not sleeping in the shower, on the train or while frying an egg, we like making humus to share with neighbors.

I was born on the Westside, raised on the Southside, and went to high school on the Northside; so needless to say I'm very familiar with my city, the best city, Chicago. I have been in love with the spoken word since elementary school. By placing second in a regional oratorical contest, I would find my love for public speaking. Short time thereafter I would discover my talent for writing poetry and rapping. This would become my aid and vacation in the following years of bruises dealt by poverty. I lost and also found my self through writing and lyrical prose. My journey into high school would mate my love for diction with the auditory likes of expression, concert band. For four years, I romanced with the bass clef by playing Tuba from countless overtures to marching pieces. By being submersed into the rhythmic section I would tighten my rapping ability and evolve to the next stage of artistry. My senior year in high school I took a step forward by basically giving up lunch for the whole second semester to practice on the piano in a spare room behind my band class. From every note to every key touched, I would create a deeper bond with this language called Music. The summer after I graduated high school (by the grace of God, lol) I underwent leg surgery that would basically leave me with one leg for six months and since it was winter time in Chicago the only place left for me to go was to the computer in my entertainment area. That may have been the loneliest six months of my life, but also the most transformative. I found comfort in a skill production, during this time I would spawn my production phase which would open other avenues for me and lead me to produce for other local artists and of course my self. Just about 100% of everything I recorded to I have made the beat for and produced. Through the countless cocoon moments in my life, more are sure to come of course, I have grown into all around artist, composer, thinker, and somewhat activist.
