We had some correspondents in the field during Tuesday's election day-- high school students who were serving as election judges in polling places around the city of Chicago, through a program of the Mikva Challenge.

All of our correspondents had served as election judges in the 2008 general election, and they were able to talk about the dramatic difference in energy and turnout.

James Alford reported in from a South Side precinct:

John Williams talked to us from a Near West Side polling place.

And Neha Surender gave us the story from her North Side precinct:

The Mikva Challenge-- a non-profit that works to give city teens direct experience with politics and civic leadership-- has trained and placed thousands of high school students as election judges in recent years.

Obsessed With Sarah Palin

Elections 2008... Still remember? Oh how fun they were, especially when... Sarah Palin arrived. The hype, the hysteria...

This audio is based on a Hotline submission from an anonymous but very brilliant caller! Hundreds of essays could be written about the Sarah Palin phenomenon, but this caller, I think, says it all succinctly and poignantly.

Sarah Palin's clips are, of course, from her infamous RNC Convention speech.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE PRESIDINTAL RACE?
Bush Is Not As Dumb As He Looks

Rev Wright cares more about his ego than he does about blacks.

Instead of keeping a low profile with enough damage he has already done to the Obama campaign, he did an interview with Bill Moyers that airs tonight. He speaks about Obama just being a "politician" to distance himself from him. Of course this directly contradicts Obamas image of being anything but a politician and deeply hurts his chances of winning the nomination.

With someone like Obama who can do more for minorities than anyone for years why can't this guy keep his mouth shut? Is he a meglomaniac?
