Ali Alvi was born and raised in Pakistan and attended school in Lahore. He now lives in Seattle, Washington but much of his family is still in Lahore. When he learned of the bombings he called home. His family was affected by this round of bombings.
He called Vocalo from Seattle. He talks about how Lahore was when he was there last and how helpless he feels now that he lives in the U.S. Ali says his family has grown somewhat desensitized by the bombing since they occur so often.

The recent bombings have brought war like conditions to the once peaceful Lahore, Pakistan. Aman Kariapper is a resident of Lahore and was on Vocalo hours after another bomb attack shook his city.
Aman, who is in Lahore, describes the conditions his people face and the fear they have about them. The once bustling streets and markets are now quiet. There is no answer for children who question these attacks. No way to prevent suicide bombers from striking again. The only thing that is certain is that there is war in the streets.
