Last day of Brave New Voices 2009, International Youth Poetry Slam Fesival. Everyone is packing up to head home.

After my interview with Hannah Adams, I noticed a couple slam teams began performing.

Security Threatened us to leave from in front of the theatre.

___

       [ My thought was,

"come on! Where are you during Real crimes?".

I had my ID ran in the same location a couple years back for Skatin'&Filmin'. ...I can speculate why.

I wanted to ask the officer if he'd feel better if I was selling drugs?

_No harm ever done but they're quick with threats of taking our boards..<my camcorder...<me and my crew in.

Disgusted when I state in defense that I'm a respectful, tax paying citizen. ...No time for trouble...< I teach children....

Petty battles provoked from high horses of authority.

Where ever are you freedom when my security's being robbed?

Disdain climbed his cold face and eyes.

  Proclaiming "my uncle's a cop" wasn't wise.

I closed my mouth.

I guess he's doing his job.  ]

[Shout-out to Everyone in the Cipher, Rocko, King Keith (on the djembe),  George (with You Media, Documentary Team)

 ,  -also to Tyler & Quest(Admyre Skateboards)]

We kept the cipher moving. Hundreds of people walking down State St., downtown Chicago. United, chanting, "BNV, AIN'T NOTHING TO FUCK WITH!".

A sure sign of the threat of resistance to anyone thinking to "FUCK WITH" BNV.

The power is the people.
