Today on the web and FM-radio outlet Vocalo.org, Tito Jackson announced that the Jackson Five will be returning once again to Gary, Indiana to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the release of their breakthrough song, “I Want You Back” and the 50th anniversary of Motown.
“I’m happy to announce that, within a few weeks time, the brothers are going back to the house in Gary, Indiana and doing a tv special,” said Jackson. Full audio content of the interview can be heard at http://vocalo.org/explore/content/37234.
Jackson also commented that, at this time, brother Michael is not slated to join the brothers for the television special. Says Jackson, “We don’t have Michael, he’s lacking, but we have the rest of the clan that’s participating.”
According to Jackson, the show will be a documentary “based around the life of the brothers, their roots, how they’re coping, putting them right back in that house in Gary,” continued Jackson.
“I’m looking forward to coming back to Gary,” said Jackson.
